Welcome one and all!

I'm starting out on a half-allotment (Feb 2012), weaving in forest garden & permaculture designs from wherever and whoever I can source them, and throwing in some ideas and experiments of my own, in hope of a fruitful harvest!

Encouraging wildlife into the plot is one of my main aims, and I look forward to any of your comments & messages, questions and answers...let's get started ;o)

Let the harvest begin... :o)

Over the last few weeks the muddy, bare soil on the plot has been rapidly filling with vegetation, some of which are meant to be there!

Harvesting the sweet, shiney blackcurrents and ruby-red strawberries, soft juicy raspberries and logan-berries swollen from the rain-fall, and a huge variety of flavour-filled herbs and salad leaves, has made all the work over the last few weeks worthwhile - what a great feeling coming home with baskets full of goodies!

I also got out and about and made some elderflower cordial (including oranges, lemons and ginger in the reipie) - after 24 hours steeping, the taste test was tonight: delicious!
